Excuses to Draw Rhinos

Just completed my last out-of-class sketchbook assignment. The subject matter was of our choosing, and since I had so much fun drawing elephants, I decided to spend the week sketching up some rhinos.

Oh. And we also drew exhibits at the SCAD museum and went to a coffee shop to sketch during class hours. Have I mentioned I love this class?

Wildlife Week

Had a blast drawing animals this week in my sketchbook class! We drew from taxidermy animals in Anderson Hall, visited Oatland Island and drew the creatures there, and picked one animal of our choosing to draw 60 times outside of class.

I've really enjoying the freedom to experiment with different media this quarter. Acrylla Gouache is pretty rad!

Tutorial Videos

I've been dabbling a lot in photoshop and mangastudio this quarter and I'm stoked to share what I've learned. As part of my final project for Advanced Inking class, I've decided to make a series of tutorials. You can find some of them on youtube right now!

I'm willing to take requests! Photoshop is my specialty. Hope this helps some folks!

Architecture Color Studies

It's good to step outside of a comfort zone every now and then. These past weeks were spent studying architecture and exploring color applications--- I like to paint, but buildings are not my forte.
