Kaiju Monster March

I'm always up for another reason to draw giant monsters. It was so much fun to participate in #KaijuMonsterMarch this year. Here's the list that @Yuricanes put together:

Admittedly, I switched up a couple of subjects that I had already drawn recently. Enjoy!

KaiJuly is my next monster drawing challenge, but I always love to take suggestions over my instagram.

During this month, I also attended C2E2 for the first time!

In 2015, I began developing a young adult graphic novel-- a dad & daughter crime story that not accepted upon its first submission. Despite feeling discouraged, I decided to pursue it further. Later that year, I sent the pitch packet to a second publisher, Iron Circus Comicsand I was able to make the book a reality! I was invited to speak at C2E2 on a creator panel and showcase my book for the first time.
Attending C2E2 as new author/illustrator was an outstanding early birthday present! Book-signing, a panel discussion and meeting the Iron Circus Comics crew— what a weekend! Also meeting Zander Cannon (Kaijumax) was a major highlight.

So thanks for all your encouragement, everyone! I can’t express how grateful I am to have the tremendous the support of friends and family (especially my husband/Chicago chauffeur, Jacob). You all motivate me to make cool things ♥️ It means the world to me.
My graphic novel, Minus, comes out on June 15th and is available for preorder on Amazon! [Click here to check it out!]

I am also now over 25 pages into my upcoming webcomic, Taking Back Tokusatsu. You can read what I've posted so far on my Patreon page.

On to April (my last reprieve before convention season hits!)
