Neon Dinosaur Disaster

I have wanted to brighten up my instagram feed for quite some time, so my solution was to install some dayglow kaiju illustrations:

These were tons of fun to do! I always enjoy interacting with my IG audience and taking monster requests. Apparently I got the train going at just the right time because the Monster March challenge is now taking place. 

I think I will have plenty of new prints in time for G-Fest this year.

Taking Back Tokusatsu Begins

At the beginning of the month, I launched my Patreon page. This is something that I've wanted to do for the past three years, but never made the time for it. After successfully completing a Kickstarter campaign in 2018, I felt more comfortable with taking the plunge.

People have responded positively so far and it's been very encouraging! Over the next few years, I will be tackling a kaiju webcomic, Taking Back Tokusatsu. Early development on this project began in 2015, so it's been on the back burner for quite some time. As January comes to an end, I'm happy to report that I have completed nine pages already.

The webcomic will be released publicly in July, but you can track my progress by becoming a Patron!  Pledge $1/mo and you can view full-color pages as I complete them. I could have upwards of thirty pages finished before I share the comic with the rest of the internet! Don't miss out.

Another Year Ending

This month, I wrapped up my convention circuit with tabling at Grand Rapids Comic Con. In 2018, I tabled at 5 different conventions, which is the most I've done in a single year.

I had the pleasure of meeting Doug Jones, the fish man himself!

I was unable to balance NaNoWriMo with all my other work, which was slightly disappointing. But on the bright side, I am under 5 pages away from finishing the second part of my Tijuana Comic! You can expect to see more on that soon.

Inktober IV: Cryptids

I managed to swing it again! This is the fourth Inktober that I have completed. It feels good to use traditional tools once in awhile. This year's theme was Cryptids/Urban legends. My instagram followers gave me some awesome suggestions!
