KaiJuly Year Four
This has been an extra-special KaiJuly! I attended G-Fest for the first time and had the time of my life. It was amazing to meet so many of my internet pals and other giant monster enthusiasts. Additionally, I broke my all-time convention sales record on day one alone. I'm definitely coming back next year!

Kickstarter Came Through
After much deliberation about the best way to print my Mexico journal comic, I decided to jump into my first Kickstarter campaign. I had my reservations-- there was the overhanging risk that my project would not be fully funded within the campaign time.
I underestimated my audience.
My project was completely funded in just two days!
This has been such a rewarding experience. Meeting my goals through the support of others has encouraged me greatly. Even my stretch goal was met on time!
As I am writing this, there are just over 24 hours of the campaign left! We are at $1230--let's see where things end up!

May Deadlines Met
I did it! After 2 years of hard work, my third graphic novel, Minus is finished! It's been an amazing journey putting this whole book together. I've learned a lot and I'm looking forward to starting up another story soon. Iron Circus Comics will distribute my book at the beginning of 2019--so hang tight!
Another project that I've juggled alongside my graphic novel is my Mexico journal comic. Normally I could complete a 30-page story in a few months, but this has been slowly put together over the course of a year. It's ready at last! The month of June will be dedicated to raising printing funds through kickstarter. You can place a preorder a copy as soon as tomorrow! Get excited!
I've tried my best so set aside time for some Daily Drawing Challenge, so here is a collection of other sketches:
See you next month!

T-Minus One Month!
I am happy to announce that I have completed the color work on my graphic novel, Minus! There are still a few tune-ups to make, but I am 95% done with the book. All that remains is creating chapter dividers and drawing up a book cover. It's been a long journey and I am so happy to be crossing the finish line next month.
There are so many to thank for their endless support. I am especially grateful to my husband for taking the brunt of our expenses as I scrambled to meet deadlines during these past 5 months.
Next year I will hold the printed book in my hands--and you will too!
Between coloring 93 pages, I was able to put together a Pacific Rim 2 illustration:

There was also this fun Art vs Artist tag going around:
And that does it, folks. In May, I hope to return to my Tijuana comic as I put the finishing touches on the graphic novel. Well there's more work ahead of me--time to get back at it!

Marchin' On
I'm only two months away from turning in my completed graphic novel to Iron Circus Comics. This is so exciting! As of this moment, half of the book is fully colored. Day by day, this project feels more real. From what I understand, the book is estimated to be available in early 2019. So hang in there folks. You'll see it sometime!
In other news, I'm continuing to press on with my autobiographical comic on my missions trip to Tijuana, Mexico. I'm about half-way through this short story, so this may be finished up in late May as well.
I am also looking forward to tabling at G-Fest this year, so I'm trying to put together some fun new prints.
