Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Spent some time out on a farm and doodled. Also some coffeeshop sketches.

Taking a Second Look

I've gotten in a better habit of never leaving the house without a sketchbook. Quite a few more opportunities to draw, no matter for how brief of a time.

I've also spent a lot of time looking back at my old artwork and exploring the reasons why I liked drawing in the first place. Some of my middle school character designs weren't all that brilliant, but it's nice to look back at old work and give it a new spin.

First Steps in Freelance

This summer I've been blessed with some freelance jobs. It's really exciting having my first gigs.

I spent a couple weeks of this month designing characters and postcards for a dentist office. This was tons of fun and good practice. Take a look!

Well, folks--- I'm open for business. If you like what you see here, let me be the gal to design stuff for you!

More June Draws

Doodling faces. Practicing a lot with my brush. Wedding planning stuff.

I'm kind of all over the place during the summer. I like doing quick studies more than finishing pieces.

Scribbling without Ceasing

Two weeks into summer. Been trying to do a lot of drawing outside of the house.

Here's just some scraps of more summertime experimentation---also, designs for my wedding cake!

Not So Sunny Summer (Drawing in my Basement)

I've been home for a week and drawing every day, I'm proud to say. It's really nice to take a break from school and have the freedom to experiment. No real rhyme or reason to my doodles; I'm just all over the place and its fine with me. Saving my direction for some freelance work that I'm doing on the side.
