Character Design Exercises

A 30-day drawing challenge is floating around Tumblr-- design a different monster girl each day for a month. I'd love to do this a little more seriously sometime in the future, but for now I'm just using it for a 30minute character design exercise. It's great practice.

but essentially I bought a dinky little travel sketchbook and I've started experimenting. This week I'm vacationing with my family in the city and I plan on doodling while I'm there, so you have that to look forward to. For now, here are the first few pages.

I'm happy to say I'm right on track with the comic I'm working on. Three weeks of work, three pages drawn. Hang in there until September. I'll unleash stuff all at once.
